HBO acquires Ben Foster’s film ‘Survivor’

October 4 (WNN) — HBO announced on Monday that it had acquired the film. Survivor. Survivor Premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.

Barry Levinson directed his father’s adaptation of Alan Haft’s biography, Harry Haft: Survivor of Eschwitz, Challenger to Rocky Marciano. Ben Foster is playing the character of Harry Haft in the film.

Harry Haft was forced to box in the Auschwitz concentration camp. He fled to New York, where he became a professional boxer and found the woman he had been separated from during the Holocaust.

During his boxing career, Harry Haft faced Marciano in the ring. The USC Showa Foundation assisted with production by providing historical resources. These included the testimony of Harry Haft in 2007 before his death that Nov.

Vicky Cripps, Billy Magnussen, Peter Sarsgaard, Saro Emirz, Dar Zuzowski, Danny DeVito and John Leguizamo also star. Foster and DeVito are among the film’s executive producers.

Levinson previously directed films made for HBO Paterno, the magician of lies And You don’t know Jack. All were biopics on the subjects Joe Paterno, Bernie Madoff and Jack Kervorkian, respectively.
