The winners of the various categories of the “Stained Glass Bicentennial” competition, organized by the Municipality and the Business Chamber as part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary of Tandil’s founding, were announced.
Africa won in the “small business” category, first place went to Matten Parfumeria in “medium business” and Pharmacia Cologne in “large business”. Each of those establishments was awarded a prize of $200,000.
The joint initiative was aimed at the entire commercial sector of the party and is part of the associated management policies to promote commercial development within the framework of Tandil’s Bicentenary.
Through the competition, it was sought that the businesses of Tandil were the protagonists of the city’s bicentennial celebrations, rewarding the commitment and initiative of the competing businesses and re-evaluating the commercial heritage, one of the important economic sectors.
All businesses in the district could participate, which had current municipal authority and were divided into three categories based on the number of employees: a) 1 to 5 “small”, b) 6 to 10 “medium” and c) More than 10 “big” businesses.
A total of 87 stained glass windows participated in all categories. As established in the terms and conditions, between May 10 and 14, the people of Tandil could vote by reacting to the photo published on the Facebook page of the municipality.
During these days, 16,554 votes were recorded from the people of Tandil, which selected the finalists for each category, and later a jury determined the winners.
