Memo Bunke’s recent publication sparked concern among his social media followers. On his Instagram account, people close to him asked to pray for the comedian, who was accepted into the Posta Central.
“I was laying a rubber floor in a gym and I used the cookie cutter to cut it out. I always use it with both hands, but here, since it was a detail, I grabbed the piece of rubber with one hand, the cutter went away and grabbed my hand,” explained Memo in an interview with LUN.
As a result of this situation, the comedian suffered a serious injury. In fact, he has to take measures to be able to carry out the shows he has planned for the national holidays.
“I will be doing both shows with an accompanist who plays guitar. The doctors know this and told me the most important thing is not to use force with your hands. They are one-hour performances and I want to grab that,” Bunke clarified. He also revealed that “the doctors told me I was very lucky.”

In dialogue with the above-mentioned media, the traumatologist of Posta Central, Daniela Pérez, explained that “in case of open fractures, an emergency operation is carried out because you are fighting against time so that the bone does not get an infection.” Guillermo (real name of the artist) was operated during the shift, they performed a surgical cleanup and managed to stitch up the tendon that was broken and damaged by the saw.”
Likewise, he specified that the artist “needs a period of immobilization to wait for the tissue to heal, and then follows a process with occupational therapy and kinesiology.” Rehabilitation can last between six and eight weeks.”
