After filing a complaint with the police for investigation, the councilor insisted that his department has instituted a series of measures to remedy the damage caused by the destruction of 22 ambulances. With respect to scheduled or non-urgent medical transport, other vehicles have been set up to provide service with transfers. And in respect of damage to essential transport vehicles, they have been repaired so that they are ready within 48 hours. At the same time, these transports will be replaced by other transports so that they can be available in case of emergency.

The counselor has stressed that these attacks fully affect the right of citizens to rely on “health transport service, both urgent and scheduled under normal circumstances”. In this sense, Repollas has insisted that the boycott has not generated a “significant delay” in the scheduled and immediate transfers this Monday and is confident that all vehicles will be repaired in 48 hours. He also hopes that the police investigation will “clarify facts that are unfair and aimed at depriving citizens of their right to medical transportation.”

With regard to negotiations between primary care and health unions, the health minister is confident that there will be no health strike after reaching an agreement in the coming days.
