Do you suffer from frequent abdominal pain? Do you feel pain or burning in your upper abdomen? Do you have abdominal bloating, belching, nausea, and rapid eating? Perhaps he has functional dyspepsia. According to the World Gastroenterology Organization (WGO), about 20% of the world’s population suffers from dyspepsia.
According to Dr. Jorge Manuel Ferrandiz Quiroz, dyspepsia is a chronic disease that is recognized by the aforementioned symptoms and, although the specific causes of the disease are not clear, it is considered that Helicobacter Pylori bacteria, stress, depression or anxiety “generate acids” that produce these conditions.
What is organic dyspepsia?:
In addition to everything mentioned above, organic dyspepsia can be caused by an ulcer or even cancer, so it is advisable to see your trusted doctor from the age of 40 and tests once a year.
“Stomach cancer in its rudimentary stage is asymptomatic, patients with an advanced stage can reach the office. Currently, stomach cancer is the second neoplasm with the highest incidence in Peru and is considered one of the most aggressive and deadly.” said Dr. Jorge Manuel Ferrandiz Quiroz.
For this reason, prevention is the best way for everyone who needs to recognize an initial problem and undergo the necessary tests. Dr. Jorge Manuel Ferrandiz Quiroz, gastroenterologist of the Stella Maris Clinic, to reduce the risk and work of dyspepsia, recommends four recommendations:
Healthy and easy foods
There are some recommendations to avoid developing cancer. Therefore, you should prioritize eating fruits, vegetables, whole grains and avoiding processed, spicy, high-fat foods or high-sugar drinks. For example, easy-to-digest foods are: fish, chicken, papaya, pears, yogurt, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and homemade soups, among others.
Continence with prokinetic drugs: If you occasionally consume foods that irritate your stomach, to improve the digestive process, you can use antacids or gastric mucosa protectors.
Do release activities
They can be physical activities, dancing, or any moving activity that produces dopamine, and happiness hormones, to help reduce levels of stress or anxiety. In addition, physical activity has been shown to contribute to a lower risk of 13 different types of cancer.
Avoid consumption of alcohol and tobacco: responsible behavior is taught to avoid the risk of injury or death. Remember that alcohol breakdown causes a series of reactions and genetic changes that affect cells and make them look like cancer.
