Health rep hails deal with unions as “historic” and stresses primary care will benefit the most

In his statements, Bautista recalled the previous agreement made in this regard a year ago, which he described as “great, which generated significant benefits in the professional career of the toilet and also in very important and long-overdue remuneration aspects”. described.

“Now, once again, a year later, we demonstrate once again that through dialogue with unions, the Ministry of Health is going to pursue and generate a series of very important benefits for professionals, which Beyond that specific aspects, they’re going to be very important to them and to the population,” he said.

Thus, he elaborated that the agreement is basically focused on primary care and modernizing it, as well as “making it very clear that it is not going to be privatised.” He also highlighted that “we are committed to earmarking 25% of the health budget for primary care, in particular the 180 million euros that will be invested in modernizing it between 2024 and 2026”.

Carlos Bautista has also emphasized that, within the framework of the agreement, “great efforts will be made to significantly increase the number of social workers, physiotherapists, speech therapists, midwives and occupational therapists”.

“The relevant thing is the commitment to dialogue and consensus that the President of the Junta de Andalucía and our counselors have demonstrated at the sectoral table with the unions with a unanimous agreement that is wonderful,” he concluded.
