Actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan has been discharged from the hospital on Friday. Kamal Haasan was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Hospital in Chennai. He had an infection in his right leg, due to which he had to undergo surgery on 19 January. The doctors and their daughters Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan recently issued a statement that Kamal Haasan’s surgery was successful. Kamal Haasan has been advised by doctors to rest at home for at least a week.
After being discharged from the hospital, Kamal Haasan has reached his house on East Coast Road, where he will rest for a few days. He will soon take care of his films and politics. Kamal Haasan has been strongly welcomed by members of his party Makkal Nidhi Mayyam.
There was an infection in the leg bone
According to the statement released by the hospital, Kamal Haasan was admitted to Sri Ramachandra Medical Center for follow-up surgery in view of mild infection of his leg bone. Surgery was performed to remove the infectious focus in his tibial bone. He is stable and recovering well.

The doctors and hospital management are taking wonderful care of our father. He will come home in four-five days. After a few days of rest and some health, he will talk to people.
