Heliot Europe, the European operator of Sigfox, is expanding its activity in the United Kingdom after acquiring Sigfox networks in the country from the Latin American specialist WND. The company, which also operates Sigfox networks in several European countries, intends to establish a new business model for its partners that is “predictable and profitable” to improve its performance in the market of Internet of Things (IoT) based on Sigfox. . Heliot Europe has combined its UK and Danish operations, acquired from WND and IoT Denmark respectively, to further strengthen its position.
Sigfox operators are increasingly focused on selling other low-power, wide-area IoT solutions together with Sigfox to secure wider and longer-range IoT contracts. Following this trend, the strategic development of Heliot Europe in the UK aims to attract more sales partners by offering the best foundation for successful IoT projects. The company promotes the battery life of Sigfox devices, which can last up to 10 years, as well as the sustainability and energy saving benefits that come with it.
To support partner recruitment efforts, Heliot Europe reviewed its contractual agreements and introduced a new business partner scheme. The scheme classifies partners into authorized categories, silver, gold and “integration”, and offers a connection pricing table, solution pricing flexibility and immediate incentives. Gold and Silver partners are required to commit to activating a certain number of devices within three years, while integration partners receive additional benefits, including advice and support closely sale.
