Here’s Who Magic Interviewed, Hosted, or Will Host for a Workout at the Combine

1 pick in the NBA draft, the Orlando Magic took a step forward in their pre-draft evaluation during the mid-May NBA Draft Combine in Chicago.

Now the Magic, who also have 32 and 35 picks in the second round, are looking forward to a host of workout prospects in Orlando ahead of the June 23 draft.

The month-long process gives Orlando its most comprehensive look at prospects after being allowed to scout for players not contacted during the season.

Here’s a list of prospects that Magic interviewed either in combination, hosted for a pre-draft workout, or expected to be hosted for the workout.

The list of players is gathered from interviews during the draft composition, reporting by the Orlando Sentinels and various media reports. This list—which is not complete—will be updated as more information is gathered:

Note: According to a league spokesperson, teams are allowed to interview a maximum of 20 players at the Combine and each player is allowed to interview with a maximum of 13 teams. The league decides which team talks to the players. Just because a team didn’t interview a prospect during the combination doesn’t mean they aren’t interested or won’t pick the player.

Note: Just because a player is working for a team doesn’t mean they are a target to be drafted. A team not working on a prospect also doesn’t mean they won’t draft them. Six pre-draft prospects are allowed on the court at once and are not allowed on the court with NBA players. Some players solicit feedback from NBA teams before the June 1 deadline, with college players deciding whether to remain in or withdraw from the draft and retain any remaining collegiate eligibility.
