Hero MotoCorp announced on Thursday that it has surpassed 100 million production milestones. The company started its operations in 1984. Hero completed the figure with the Xtreme 160R bike. This bike originated from Haridwar based facility center. Hero MotoCorp has announced an official program for this and has also shared a link to a website to watch this program.
Earlier in the year 2013, the company completed 50 million production milestones. It took the company a total of 7 years to reach the 100 million mark. According to the company, this landmark is huge because the company completed 50 million within just 7 years.
6 new different motorcycles launched on the occasion of celebration
To reach and celebrate this milestone, the company has launched 6 bikes including the Splendor +, Xtreme 160R, Passion Pro, Glamor (motorcycles) and Destini 125, Maestro Edge 110 (scooters). The sale of these new bikes and scooters will start from February, while their price will also be revealed on the stage itself.
The 100 million Hero Bike Xtreme 160 R is the latest bike based Gurugram-based two wheeler maker. It comes with 163 cc air cooled, 4 stroke 2 valve single cylinder OHC. The PS of 15.3 leaves at 8500 rpm from the engine, while at 6500 rpm, it gives torque of 14 Nm. The transmission option offers a 5-speed manual gearbox. Currently its price is Rs 1,03,90.
