Park 14 Lakeville South 50: Lakeville South ended the 2020 season with a 6A level unbeaten — ending the year with the AP’s No. 1 team — and started the 2021 campaign in a similar fashion.

The Cougars ran 40 times for 447 yards. Carson Hansen led with 213 yards and three points. Evan Bearth threw for 202 yards and scored a touchdown for Parker, who returned to the 6A game after playing in the 5A game in recent years.

Farmington 35, Burnsville 12: Connor Weed scored one point and drove two more goals for Farmington. Weed ran for 110 yards on the ground, and Rod Finley added a pair of rushing points.

Jay Homuth scored a pair of points for Blaze.

Spring Lake Park 34, Cretin-Derham Hall 24: Nick O’Gille ran a few short touchdowns for the Panthers, and they gained a 27-0 advantage in the second quarter on Thursday night.

Due to Willhead’s three rushing touchdowns, the Raiders reduced the score to 27-24, but Netlitke’s 55-yard run in the fourth quarter brought the Panthers back to 10.
