We would imagine that when traveling from New York to Rome or from Osaka to Paris, the group known as John Wick fell asleep among themselves. But Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves feel differently about the character’s quiet hours.
2014’s first John Wick, directed by Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, was relatively simple. It was a revenge film with obvious antagonists (Michael Nyqvist and Alfie Allen) and a sincere revenge mission, using extreme violence and a brutal style to reinvent the action film in an exciting way, using 95 minutes to do the job. Clear and direct. John Wick 4with its mammoth running time of 170 minutes, it asks the audience to be patient.
We see the main character again, Keanu’s Superintendent in a mission of fury, surviving all kinds of physical attacks. The fourth installment is set to overcome itself with a new wave of recruits, as the High Council tries to contain the wrath of John Wick, with the leader Marquis de Gramont (Bill Skarsgard) responsible for putting an end to the assassin. They will have to follow this from the deserts of Wadi Rum to Paris, passing through Berlin and Osaka.
By making the transfer so far, you’d think John Wick would be quiet, but nothing can stop him. Neither God nor death. although perhaps only their creators. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, both Matrix actor and director Stahelski said he was “done now” and “rested” as John Wick. And it happened that when John Wick was resting when a group of Russians broke into his house, the public thought he was “sleeping”, in fact he was “unknowingly preparing for the fact that John Wick never rests”.
In addition to the nickname Baba Yaga, some people know or refer to Wick as the Boogeyman. We can’t sleep around with this monitor thinking much. Throughout the saga we hardly see him sleep. until the beginning John Wick II: A New Day to Kill He is not sleeping, he is just getting ready for bed. We suppose that he slept between long journeys and journeys, since, as we know, he did not sleep at the Continental Hotel; was interrupted by his attack. And since the flight to Rome from Venice takes 8 hours, we can assume that he slept on that trip and waited for something to board.
What next for John Wick? There will be more stories in the franchise and the first of them will be a television series called Continental. It will precede the film, which takes place in an iconic New York hotel, and will center on young Winston Scott, who will be played by Colin Woodell. It was established in 1975 when Winston took charge of a series of plans to take over the management of the hotel media. So we don’t have to wait until 2025 when John Wick 5 arrives.
