Shang Tsung is a fighter from Mortal Kombat 1 that is only included as a pre-order bonus or DLC pre-order. After pre-ordering the game before the release date, we can get Shang Tsung. The release dates of the different versions of the game are September 14, 2023 for the Premium and Kollector’s editions and September 19 for the Standard version, as we can see on the official website.
Once we are sure we have downloaded the Shang Tsung DLC, simply select it from the character selection screen in one of its game modes:
The physical editions of Mortal Kombat 1 are said to include a download code for the Shang Tsung DLC ​​in the game, while the digital versions already include this add-on. In the latter case, we should be aware of everything we download and install as soon as we acquire it.
