We are going to explain how to set up a TV startup on your PC with Windows 11 without having to install anything. To do this, all you will have to do is access your computer’s UEFI, which is the successor to the old BIOS, and make a configuration there.
Here we are going to do these steps with a DELL notebook computer. But, as we will also explain later, the UEFI policy can change depending on the device, so it is possible that the option can be in a different place or with a different name. So we will also tell the steps inside Windows itself.
Schedule extended power in Windows 11
At first it is going to have UEFI access. You can do this by clicking on the tab designated when the PC restarts, which varies depending on the device, but from Windows it’s a different method. Go to settings, go to Windows Updates and enter Advanced Options. Here, click on Recovery, then click on the Restart now button from the Advanced startup section.
This will restart your computer and take you to the advanced startup. Here, you need to click on the UEFI Firmware Configuration option. To access the option, first click on Troubleshoot, and then click on Advanced Options, and here you will see the option that will give you access to the UEFI of your PC or your laptop when you press and agree to reboot.
Depending on the device, you can use UEFI or BIOS as the previous step. Once inside, go to the advanced options tab (1), and click on Power Options or Energy Options (2), to look for the power option in them. This option may have a different name depending on the device or the UEFI or BIOS version.
Now click on auto power On (1) option which is the ignition of your car. Disabled, because deactivate, will appear, and when you click on it, a window will open where you can choose Enabled and press Enter (2) to move the option. As we told you, the UEFI name can be different on the device.
Now all you have to do is configure when you want to turn on the computer only. You will be able to choose if you want to switch every day or with a different frequency, day, or specific time to restart. Once you’ve done that, before exiting UEFI, select the option to save the configuration and exit.
