Today, Sunday May 21, 2023, the environmental control program takes a pause allowing all cars to circulate in Mexico City and its metropolitan area. Hoy no Circula will resume as normal tomorrow, Monday, May 22nd.
How will be Hoy No Circula for the next seven days?
- Monday 22 May – Cars with yellow stickers, finishing plates 5 and 6, and verification holograms 1 and 2.
- Tuesday 23 May – Cars with pink stickers, finishing plates 7 and 8, and verification holograms 1 and 2.
- Wednesday 24 May – Red sticker cars, completion of license plate 3 & 4, verification holograms 1 & 2, and permit.
- Thursday 25 May – Cars with green sticker, completion of license plate 1 & 2, verification hologram 1 & 2, and permit.
- Friday 26 May – Cars with blue sticker, finishing plates 9 and 0, verification holograms 1 and 2, and permit.
- Saturday May 27, 2023 – Cars with hologram 1 and ending 0, 2, 4, 6 and 8 cannot transit as on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month. Holograms 2 rests every Saturday. Holograms 0 and 00 can transmit independently.
- Sunday, May 28, 2023 – The Ministry of the Environment (SEDEMA) stipulates that the Hoy no Circula program is not performed on Sundays, except in environmental contingencies that declare the use of certain prohibitions.

Fines for the Hoy No Circula program
In case of non-compliance with the program’s prohibitions, the fine is 20 to 30 times the unit of measurement and update (UMA), which is equivalent to $2,074.80 pesos or $3,112 pesos.
