Huawei SF5: Smartphone maker launches its first electric SUV, 1000km range and price

Demand for this specialty has grown significantly as a result of recent corporate scandals involving technology companies as well as automakers. In this series, leading smartphone and electronic device company Huawei today introduced its first electric SUV Huawei SF5. The company launched the car at the Shanghai Auto Show.

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Chinese multinational technology company known for making telecommunications and electronics devices. This electric car is made by Huawei and Cyrus which will be sold under the brand ‘SERES’. Currently, it has been launched in the Chinese market, the company plans it will be introduced in other markets soon.

As far as the size of this car is concerned, its length is 4,700 mm, width is 1,930 mm and height is 1,625 mm. This car has a wheelbase of 2,875mm. The company has given it an attractive design with mesh grille with Sweepback headlights and LED daytime running lights. Its sliding roof line makes its design even more attractive.

Battery and power: Huawei says the car’s 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine works like a generator that powers the battery. This battery is connected to two electric motors. These electric motors and engines together generate a total of 551 PS of power and 820 Nm of torque. This car is also very good at pick-up, the company claims that this car is capable of catching 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.7 seconds.

Huawei SF5 electronic SOV

As we told you, the Huawei SF5 has two electric motors. According to the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC), this car offers a driving range of up to 1000 kilometers. However this is only possible when the range expander will be used. At electronic only, this car gives a driving range of up to 180 kilometers. In addition to these, the car acts as a charged battery, from where it can be powered to other electronic devices such as TVs.

Cost: The company has just launched the Huawei SF5 electric car in the Chinese market only. It is valued at 216,800 yuan (Chinese currency), which is about Rs 25.20 lakh in Indian currency. According to reports, the supply of this car will start from next month
