Hundreds of people were at North High School Saturday morning for the annual North Omaha Health Summit.
This event is organized by Empowerment Network.
Many community partners have come forward to provide resources and educate people on the programs they are working on, including community health needs assessments.
This is a project that is gathering community perspectives on health needs such as access to health care.

It’s important that we collect this information from community members so we can learn and respond to their health issues and Aja Anderson, CEO of Wellbeing Partners, said: ‘We are faced with this and want to see that as a community, as a region, we can collaborate and find solutions to meet those needs and improve the community’s well-being. Representatives from the Douglas County Health Department were also in attendance.
