Tata Nexon EV is the best selling electric car in the country. Hyundai is preparing to launch a new electric car to compete with the Indian market. The company will expand its electric vehicle portfolio in India in the next 3-4 years. This will include Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric sedan and a mass market EV. These could be launched in 2022 and 2024 respectively. The company’s mass market EV will be a made-in-India product.
Get range up to 220KM
If reports are to be believed, the company will launch an entry-level electric SUV with a smaller capacity battery. Hyundai’s electric car has a range of 200 to 220 kilometers. Expected to get a range so far it could be an electric car based on the Hyundai Venue, which would be less than 4 meters in length. In the Indian market, it will compete with the Tata Nexon EV. Recently the Nexon EV has crossed the 10,000 unit sales mark.

Upcoming updates Creta and new MPV
In addition to electric vehicles, the South Korean automaker has updated the Hyundai Creta and a completely new compact MPV ready to launch in early 2022. It is said that the company’s new MPV will be named Hyundai Stargazer, which will compete with Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Mahindra Marazzo and Kia’s upcoming compact MPV. The special thing is that this MPV will have features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Changing Assist with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System).
