“I don’t expect less”: Osorio Chong blames Alito Moreno for the lack of agreement with the MC

Senator Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, former militant of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), pointed to the behavior of Alejandro Alito Moreno Cárdenas as a decisive factor in the lack of agreement between the Broad Front for Mexico (FAM) and the Citizen Movement (MC) ). ) to maintain 2024 elections.

Osorio Chong described the behavior of Moreno Cárdenas, PRI national president, as irresponsible.

“I think it is already very difficult for him to participate, I think there is also irresponsibility, especially on the part of Alejandro Moreno, even to insult a party that you want to ask to ally with you,” said he on September 30 in a meeting with the media.

However, the lawmaker was not surprised by the behavior of the PRI leader, with whom he had conflicts that caused him to leave the political party in July of this year.

“They started to make all kinds of challenges that you don’t want a compromise, but hey, I don’t expect anything less from this attitude,” he said.

On September 26, the leader of the Citizen Movement, Dante Delgado, rejected an alliance with the Broad Front for Mexico.

Delgado explained that dialogue with FAM parties (PRI, PAN and PRD) is impossible in the context of conflict. As proof of the impossibility of an agreement, he recalled the accusations against Samuel García, governor of Nuevo León.

“Excuse me, it seems like a caricature if they dedicate themselves to sin, if they are hurt, they went to Nuevo León, if they also sin the Citizen Movement every day, based on what are the conditions for minimum dialogue? Based on what? We have said before, this exercise has total fissures,” he said.

The national president of the Citizen Movement was not very flexible when asked about the possibility of Marcelo Ebrard, former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), joining the party due to differences with the National Regeneration Movement (Morena).

“We do not think or order anyone, the call has not yet come out that must be approved later by the General Council of the INE,” he was able to say.
