A McDonald’s customer has claimed that he found cockroaches in his daughter’s Happy Meal after ordering through Uber Eats.
Images shared to Reddit show a feral bug climbing atop a man’s hot chips inside a delivery bag from a Hurstville store in Sydney, Australia.
He captioned a picture he shared on social media: “This little boy enjoying his Happy Meal. My daughter, not so much.
“Straya – where you get a free live toy with every Happy Meal, delivered to the wrong address by Uber Eats.”
In the comments section, he wrote: “I’m Australian and I feel like I should be used to them, but give me snakes, spiders and rats over cockroaches any day. Those things are inexplicably rebellious.
“Weirdly, if there was a spider in it, I think I would be a low earner.”

The man believes that the bug was crawling into his food while he was sitting outside the wrong house.
He was suspected to have sat outside for 30 minutes before the food was taken to his place.
Commenters on social media were perplexed as to how the bug could crawl inside the food before reaching the correct address.
One person said: “I would have died, the sight of those people especially if someone inside my house instilled in me complete hatred and anxiety.”
A McDonald’s spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia it was investigating how the incident happened.
He said: “McDonald’s takes food and drink safety very seriously and we are disappointed to hear about the customer experience.
“Our employees follow strict cleaning, hygiene, quality control and hygiene procedures to ensure that our food and our restaurants remain safe for our employees and customers.
“We will look at this event with our distribution partners as part of our commitment to ongoing service improvements.”
