Borrell encourages Cuba to strengthen ties with the EU
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, this Thursday urged Cuba to strengthen ties with Brussels, in the framework of the consequences that were generated after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“Our desire is to accompany Cuba in the process of opening economic and social reforms from a relationship of mutual respect to cooperate to improve the lives of all Cubans,” said Borrell, who recalled the dialogue on Human Rights that he hopes to hold. it takes place “before the end of the year.”

The High Representative, who brought the world crisis to the war in Ukraine as a reason for improving relations with the European Union, recognized that “Cuba is in a particularly difficult situation against the particular chaos of energy, electricity and fuels”. .
