“My mother, Sabrina Peckham, was the victim of an alligator attack in McCay Creek,” Dorris said on her Facebook profile. “As my mother is only 41 years old, we don’t expect to do this anytime soon, we hope to spend many years with her.”
“I love you more than I have ever expressed, I miss you more than you will ever know and I pray that you will take care of me and your grandchildren,” said Dorris in his farewell. “I’m sorry this happened to you. I pray that you are at peace and no longer struggling or suffering.”

Authorities have not released Peckham’s cause of death. However, the victim’s daughter shares the preliminary hypothesis of the authorities.
“My mother is part of the homeless population living in a nearby wooded area. It is believed that she may have been walking to or from her camp near the river in the dark and the crocodile attacked from the water,” Dorris said. .
