IAF airlift 9 cryogenic oxygen containers from Dubai, Singapore

New Delhi: According to an official statement released on Wednesday by the Indian Air Force (IAF), nine cryogenic oxygen containers were picked up from Dubai and Singapore and brought to the Panagar airbase in West Bengal.

These containers were brought on Tuesday. In addition, Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft on Tuesday landed two cryogenic oxygen containers from Indore to Jamnagar, two from Jodhpur and two from Udaipur to Jamnagar and two from Hindon to Ranchi.

“The Air Force’s C-17 has airlifted six cryogenic oxygen containers from Dubai to Panagarh air base. Another C-17 has brought three oxygen containers from Singapore to Panagarh air base,” the statement said.

Indian-American NGO raised $ 4.7 million for COVID relief

An Indian-American nonprofit has raised nearly $ 4.7 million via social media for COVID-19 relief efforts in India, as the country is battling a second severe wave of pandemics.

“This is a collective effort that can save lives, defeat hunger, reassure people in distress and help India in a decisive battle against COVID-19,” said Seva International USA.

On Tuesday, the service collected a shipment of 2,184 oxygen to be shipped to India. Less than 100 hours after the fund raising campaign, more than 66,700 Indian-Americans came forward to raise more than $ 4.7 million for COVID-19 relief efforts in India.
