The Chinese company BYD (Build Your Dreams) has done a similar feat in the range. The company has recently launched its electric MPV BYD e6 in the Indian market. Now this car has set a record by traveling from Mumbai to Delhi. At this time this e-car has covered a distance of 2203 km in 6 days. The company claims that this is the maximum distance covered by any electric vehicle at once.
Chinese company BYD has been doing business in India since 2007. The company mainly manufactures buses and trucks in India, but seeing the growing demand for electric vehicles in India, the company decided to enter the commercial passenger car segment. It says that in the future, it will also launch electric cars in the passenger car segment.

520Km range on a single charge
The BYD e6 uses a 71.7 kWh blade battery. It gives a range of 520 kilometers on a single charge under city conditions according to the WLTP rating. The MPV is powered by a 70kWh electric motor capable of producing 180 Nm of peak torque. The maximum speed of this electric MPV is 130 kmph. The MPV e6 can be recharged using both AC and DC fast charging features. It charges 30 to 80% in just half an hour.

The blade is equipped with battery technology
>> The BYD e6 is the company’s first premium electric MPV in India, equipped with blade battery technology. This battery technology was released worldwide in 2020 which promises more range, more protection and longer life. The company launched the e6 MPV in India in November last year.
>> This MPV is being used in the fleet. The ex-showroom price of BYD e6 in India is Rs 29.15 lakh. Apart from other cities like Vijayawada, Ahmedabad and Kochi, one can buy it from big metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

1.25 lakh kilometers warranty
The company offers 3 years or 1.25 lakh kilometers warranty, 8 years or 5 lakh kilometers battery cell warranty and 8 years or 1.5 lakh kilometers traction motor warranty on this electric MPV BYD e6. At present, there are no electric vehicles in the multipurpose vehicle segment of the Indian market.
