Titled “So Long Nerds”, the video was shared with her 10 million followers. In the video, Technoblade’s father calls him “the most amazing kid anyone could ever ask for”.
In the final video posted on the Google-owned platform, the YouTuber said: “Hello everyone, Technoblade here. If you’re watching this, I’m dead.”
He thanked all his supporters for consistently supporting his content over the years. The YouTuber said, “If I had 100 more lives, I think I’d love to be a technoblade every now and then, because those were the happiest years of my life.”
The US internet star garnered a lot of attention for his live stream where he played Minecraft. He also posted several videos of himself playing sandbox video games. In 2021, the YouTuber told his fans that he had been diagnosed with cancer. He joked in the video how his “chemotherapy arc is going to be great for content”.
“No one took the worse news than my health insurance provider – they’ve been inconsolable for weeks,” he was quoted as saying.
In his last video, Technoblade revealed that his real name was Alex. He also apologized for selling so much merchandise in the last one year, but he also admitted that it would allow his siblings to go to college. “Well, if they want to. I don’t want to put any dead brother peer pressure on them.”
Very little is known about the Internet sensation, who till recently kept his identity a secret. His online avatar was a picture of a crowned pig.
During an interview with The Verge, Alex’s father said that he doesn’t think his son said everything he wanted to say. Technoblade’s father said, “But I think he got the main points. He got it done and then he was done. After that he lived for about eight hours.”
In a message, the Technoblade’s family said that a portion of all sales of their merchandise would be donated to the charity, the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
