IIIT Allahabad boy gets job in Google with annual salary of Rs 1.4 cr

The boy from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad has got a job offer from Google with an annual package of Rs 1.4 crore, which is around Rs 11.6 lakh per month.

The boy from Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad has got a job offer from Google with an annual package of Rs 1.4 crore, which is around Rs 11.6 lakh per month. Not only Pratham Prakash Gupta, many other students of M.Tech batch of IIIT Allahabad have bagged packages worth crores in top tech companies. IIIT Allahabad said that M.Tech batch 2022 has registered 100 percent placement mark.

Gupta got a job as a software engineer at Google’s London office. He plans to join this year. A specific timeline has not been disclosed.

He took to his official LinkedIn account to announce the offer he received from the tech giant. “Over the past few months, I was fortunate enough to have received amazing offers from some of the biggest organizations in the world. I am happy to share with you all that I have accepted an offer from Google and I am looking forward to this soon. I will join their London office as a software engineer after completing my graduation. Excited for this new phase of my career!” Gupta noted in a LinkedIn post.

According to IIIT, this year 5 students of IIIT Allahabad M.Tech batch have got packages worth crores. These students have received offers from top tech giants like Amazon, Facebook, Google, Apple and Netflix. Google’s 1.4 crore package is the highest, followed by Anurag Makade and Akhil Singh with 1.25 and 12 million placement offers from Amazon and Rubric respectively. It is suggested that about 48 percent of B.Tech students have received offers from big tech companies like Facebook, Apple, Amazon.

It is being said for the first time that the M.Tech batch of IIIT Allahabad has secured 100% placement.
