Illegal mosque demolished in Barabanki, Matin Khan and 4 arrested in a photo-video affair

In Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, protests continue in the Ram Snehi Ghat tehsil complex, calling the illegal construction a mosque. On Friday (May 21, 2021) the place where the encroachment has been removed in the tehsil, five suspects who are making photographs and videos of the same have been arrested and sent to jail. All these residents of Lucknow are being told. Police is interrogating all five people.

Police arrested five people, including state president of Indian Muslim League Mohammad Matin Khan, who came from Lucknow to do video and photography of the disputed site in Tehsil Ram Sanehi Ghat. After several hours of interrogation, reports have been lodged against these people under the Epidemic Act.

Seeing the people who came with him including Mohammad Matin Khan to make photography and videos, the revenue personnel of the Tehsil called the police. On the information of the revenue personnel, Kotwal Sachchidanand Rai interrogated the suspected five people at the police station and their identities were Mohammad Matin Khan, Mohammad Saad and Suleiman (resident Mohalla Barfkhana police station Thakurganj) and Farooq Ahmad Khan (resident of New Basti Murad Ali Lane Police Station). Hussainganj), Mohammad Kamil (resident Yasinganj Campwell Road Police Station Saadatganj District Lucknow). SDM Divyanshu Patel told that there was a conspiracy to spoil the atmosphere by offering Namaz at his SDM residence.

In such a situation, the above five people from Lucknow came from the same vehicle and started doing photography and videography of the disputed site. The Sunni Waqf Board had also spoken of going to the High Court against the Barabanki administration. The mosque management committee accused the local administration of a conspiracy. Masjid Committee Chairman Sabir Ali accused the local authorities of demolishing the mosque overnight and removing debris in the presence of police force.
