Parts of Clinton Avenue, Harmon Avenue and Center Street will be closed by the city to make the intersection safe for pedestrians.
The city of Fayetteville will this week begin a street project on the southeast corner of the complex, which will include traffic signals and crosswalks at the intersection of Clinton Avenue/Center Street and Harmon Avenue, making it safe for pedestrians.
This intersection is currently without signs and, therefore, traffic is uncontrolled, making it very difficult for pedestrians to make their way into the complex and for Razorback Transit buses to navigate the area.
The portion of Clinton Avenue leading from Stadium Drive to the intersection will be closed to through traffic from Monday, June 27, but the intersection will remain open until August 1. The duration of the closure is not yet known by the city at this time, but the project is expected to be completed by early 2023.
The detour routes for vehicles and razorback transit buses are still being adjusted at this time. Riders of Razorback Transit, especially along Route 13, who use roads near construction are encouraged to use the Passio GO! The app rotates during shutdown for the updated route.
The project is funded by a Streets Improvement Bond approved by Fayetteville residents in 2019.
Please visit the City of Fayetteville website for more information on the project.
