Nine years after their first meeting in T20Is, India toured Ireland for a few games and won 2–0. This will be the second instance of the two sides playing in a bilateral T20I series and the hosts determined to win their first T20I match against the Men in Blue.
India are currently playing South Africa in a five-match T20I series at home, taking the series 2-2. Ireland have not played a competitive game in any of the three formats since their inclusion in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier 2022 in February.
