HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) — A man was charged with murder Wednesday in the death of a 13-year-old boy who shot and killed a group of trick-or-treaters on Halloween in northwest Indiana.

Later the group saw a car with five or six people staring at them. The man talking to a young man got down from the car along with a few others. Court records said another man took a “shooting stance” and that trick-or-treaters were fired upon.
According to court records, a police officer apprehended the crew after the father of a youth chased him in the neighbourhood.
A gun and ammunition were later found in a storage barrel.
Police said other possible suspects were being investigated.
