The president of Colima, Indira Vizcaíno Silva, the county undersecretary of Tourism, Jorge Padilla Castillo, and the general director of the State of Colima DIF, Rosi Bayardo Cabrera, announced in a press conference the Festival of Coastal Kites, which will take place in. Plaza de los Arcos in Miramar, Manzanillo on Friday, June 9 and Saturday, June 10, and asked all the population of Buenos Aires, as well as tourism, to come and enjoy this unique family show that will be free.
Through the State DIF there will be activities that are aimed at children, which will include kites showing, which will decorate the coast and will also be aesthetically pleasing; “We are talking about a free show that will make our beaches more attractive to us, as well as to visitors”, and this action will be an incentive for local businesses and travel service providers to borrow from the finances of this event, since it has ensured that this type of activity supports the economic development of the community will contribute, said Vizcaíno Silva.
“The worship is not only of good arts, but also of popular opinion; culture in all its forms is a common heritage which should not be exclusive to a privileged few; because it is also a very powerful tool in the construction of peace, in the promotion of mutual understanding and in the generation of empathy between people,” said President Colima.
The Undersecretary of Tourism shows more than 50 kites that will measure between 5 and 40 meters long, some of them have lights that rise between 5 and 10 pm. Among the activities will be a workshop where attendees can make their own kites; there will be cultural events, DJ, presentations, inflatables, as well as gastronomy and drinks.
Jorge Padilla said that the Association of Hotels and Motels of the State of Colima will join the action, giving a 20 percent discount to all customers who stay on June 9 and 10 in ten selected hotels, which can be found on the website of the same association. .
For that part, the director of the DIF, Rosi Bayardo, showed that he is working on this festival with integrated activities and that he is promoting the right of recreation and leisure for the families attending.
