May 14, 2023. Seniors are an important demographic in our society. For this reason, the municipality of Mar del Plata has organized an informative and entertaining day to give them the opportunity to access information and activities that promote their well-being. The event will take place on Saturday, May 20 at the Islas Malvinas Sports Center from 10am to 5pm with free admission.
The population of older adults in Argentina continues to grow. In Mar del Plata, more than 25% of the residents are older people. That is why the municipality has organized a conference with the aim of providing information on all public policies aimed at this demographic group.
Activities
Informative talks and workshops will be held during the day on various topics of interest to the elderly, such as health care, disease prevention, use of mobile devices, etc.
In addition, there will be recreational and sports activities so that the participants can enjoy an active and enjoyable day. Music shows will also be presented and a varied gastronomic offer will be presented for attendees to enjoy throughout the day.
Fitness equipment
During the day, a health device will be installed where arterial hypertension and glycemia control will be carried out. Flu vaccination will also be done for those who have not yet received the relevant dose.
Digital Map of Older People’s Program
One of the highlights of the day will be the presentation of a digital map of the Senior Citizens Programme. This tool will allow residents to access all information on geo-localized activities, courses and training aimed at this sector of the Mar del Plata community.
