The YogiFi Gen 2, an upgraded version of the company’s original smart mat for yoga, has been announced for International Yoga Day. YogiFi Gen 2 is the second flagship product of Wellensys Technologies. The second generation of this smart yoga mat is designed to help users with their yoga practice sessions, postures, postures and bodyweight workouts.
The Yogifi Gen 2 will cost Rs 8,999 and is currently available for pre-order on the company’s official website. Under the pre-order offer, the Yogifi Gen 2 Pro version will cost Rs 18,999. The Pro version also includes a dedicated Android tablet and a stand for the tablet.
According to the company, the Gen 2 version of its yoga mat comes with features like advanced posture tracking. The Mat can sync with the company’s dedicated app, and it will come with step-by-step instructions and feedback with real-time improvements.
YogiFi Gen 2 will also give users the option of one-on-one interactive sessions with certified coaches across the globe. The mat is now equipped with multi-workout tracking and rep counting as well as activity history to look back and improve one’s posture. It will also support hands-free exercise with Apple Watch. Based on the workout on the mat, the user will get a report of their performance rating in the app.
The mat doesn’t have a camera solution, etc., to track the user’s movement while they’re doing yoga on it. It recognizes the pose based on the pressure exerted by the user on the mat. The Mat comes with a rechargeable battery, (though size isn’t specified). It also includes WiFi and Bluetooth support. According to the company, “user session data is only used to personalize the user experience and enhance AI feedback.”
As part of the 8th International Day of Yoga, YogiFi has also announced a virtual “Surya Namaskar Challenge” on its mobile app. Users can access it in a free session on the iOS and Android apps.
