iPhone 15 series to stand out with dual hole-punch cutouts, leak hints at new display

Apple is all set to launch its new line of flagship smartphones, the iPhone 14 series. The smartphone is likely to be launched in September this year. However, even before any official confirmation from the tech giant, there have been several leaks regarding the next generation iPhones, their features and design.

There are copious rumors circulating on the internet about the iPhone 14 line-up. However, one of the most prominent rumors is that the line-up may come with different display types for the regular and Pro models of the iPhone 14.

While it is reported that the regular model will have the same display as the current iPhone 13 series, the Pro model is tipped to come with a dual-hole-punch cutout display.

According to the latest reports, not just the iPhone 14 Pro model, the upcoming iPhone 15 model standard and Pro both will feature dual hole-punch cutout displays.

omdia has detailed the performance specifications of the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 models. The report states that Apple will use a dual hole-punch design for the display of the iPhone 15 series.

Apple will introduce a pill-and-hole-shaped selfie camera cutout on the iPhone 14 Pro model for the first time. However, the latest report has suggested that the display variant will be seen on the vanilla model in the iPhone 15 series as well.

The report further states that the display size of the iPhone 14 and 15 will be increased to 6.12 inches from 6.06 inches (the current iPhone 13).

Earlier, noted analyst Ming Chi-kuo had claimed that the iPhone 14 will have a punch-hole cutout. The notch is likely to house Face ID, front-facing camera and other sensors.
