The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus launched with the same size screens as the 15 Pro and Pro Max respectively, and were also updated with the same Dynamic Island for the first time. However, Apple chose to keep the 2 vanilla trees in other aspects of 2023.
The Cupertino giant gave the 120Hz refresh rate to the latest Pro Series smartphones, but forgot about the 15 series in the same part, leaving both devices at 60Hz. Meanwhile, new Android devices with AMOLED displays capable of running faster than 90Hz are going around on Amazon for less than $200 today (November 19, 2023).
Now, according to a new post from Naverel, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus do not seem to be very competitive in this sense. It says that they will be launched with 6.12 and 6.69 inch screens respectively (effectively cutting-edge dimensions, then) with “improvement of some parts of the device.”
Some, but not all, however, that will provide a refresh rate of more than 60Hz is apparently one of those that will come out again in 2024. Consequently, Apple fans looking for more affordable upgrade options can stop at series 16 exact look. like their predecessors, at least from the front.
