New Delhi: The IPL auction has started. Delhi Capitals has bought Steven Smith for 2.20 crores. RCB had set an opening bid of 2 crores for Smith, but in the meantime Delhi Capitals took an entry in the bid and bought them for 2.20 crores. Eight IPL franchises are involved in the auction taking place in Chennai. These franchises are bidding for 61 locations.

The auction list includes 164 Indian players. According to the latest information, Moin Ali of England has been bought by Chennai Super Kings for 7 crores. Moin’s opening bid was 2 crores. Punjab Kings and CSK were vying for him and eventually they turned CSK for 7 crores. At the same time, Rajasthan Royals has bought Shivam Dubey for 4.4. Fast bowler Shivam plays for Mumbai. Shivam’s base price was 50 lakh rupees.
