The iQOO 9T is expected to launch soon in India with the upgraded chipset. Here are all the details about the handset.

iQOO 9T is coming to India! Wait, you haven’t heard of the “T series” phone in the iQOO lineup, have you? This is because it marks the beginning of a new series in iQOO’s flagship series of smartphones for the country. iQOO recently kickstarted the Neo series of smartphones with the iQOO Neo 6 and soon after, we might get the “T-series” lineup of iQOO’s main flagships. We also haven’t seen such a phone in the iQOO domestic market in China, which means it could be an India-specific model.

Based on the 91Mobiles report, iQOO is planning to bring the iQOO 9T to India. The phone will add to the already three-model lineup of the iQOO flagship series – iQOO 9 SE, iQOO 9, and iQOO 9 Pro. Some details have already leaked, giving us an idea of what to expect. Being a performance smartphone, the iQOO 9T is getting a chipset upgrade.

iQOO 9T coming to India soon

The biggest upgrade over the iQOO 9T over the iQOO 9T is the flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. This is currently the fastest chipset in Qualcomm’s lineup and will make the iQOO 9T more powerful than the iQOO 9 Pro. This will also make it the first smartphone in India to use the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. The new chip promises gains in performance and power as well as thermal efficiency over the standard version.

Rest of the features are expected to remain unchanged, which means that the iQOO 9T could feature a familiar 120Hz AMOLED display and the same triple camera setup aided by gimbal stabilization. The iQOO 9T is also said to come with the same 120W fast wired charging system.

It remains to be seen how iQOO decides to price the phones in its iQOO 9 series portfolio. Going by its overall feature set, the iQOO 9 Pro is likely to remain the last flagship for the company. The iQOO 9T could sit above the iQOO 9 5G and could be offered as an option for gamers looking for ultimate performance credentials. Note that this is a leak and hence, wait for iQOO to make an official announcement on it.
