The great day of Euskaldun rugby has arrived and thanks to the joint work carried out in recent months by the Basque Rugby Federation and Txingudi Rugby Club, the Ployundi ground will be the scene of the final of the Basque Championship.
Five matches will be played today after the semi-finals in recent weeks. The day will begin at 9.30 am in the Under 16 men’s section with Hernani CRE vs Uribeldiya RKE. Then, at 11:00 am, it would be the turn of the Under 18 boys, with Hernani CRE facing Ordizia RE. At 12:30 pm, for its part, the final of the Bulaja League for Inclusive Games will be played, while at 2:30 pm the Senior Ladies will do it, pitting Gaztedi RT against Durango RT. Finally, at 4:30 pm the players of the senior men’s section of Elorrio RT and Eibar RT clubs will take to the field.
Tickets to attend the event are free and can be obtained from the Txingudi Rugby Club website at www.txingudirugbyclub.eu. In addition, there will be a shuttle bus service from the shuttle bus car park to Ployundi which departs frequently from the Ficoba car park.
It should be noted that beyond the playing field, those from the Txingudi Rugby Club want today’s meeting to constitute a full rugby party. For this reason, Playoundi will have an area with games for most txikis, the canteen will be open, various entertainment activities will be offered and there will be a stall where you can buy merchandise and another area to promote the Emakumeok Mogumentean app. Promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.
In addition, at the end of the day, a rugby gala will be held at Fikoba, in which various awards and recognitions will be distributed.
