Is it safe to send children to school now? Get expert opinion

New Delhi: With the decline of corona cases in the country, schools have started calling children. However, clarifying questions between resuming school in offline mode and sending children to school, DNK Aurora said in an interview with a TV channel that schools should be reopened in phases and urged parents to send their children to school. It also says they don’t have to worry about them.

“Parents should ensure that school teaching and non-teaching staff are vaccinated against covid and adults in the family are vaccinated before considering sending their children to school,” the expert said in an interview. Let’s go.

“If family adults and school staff are fully vaccinated, send the children to school,” said Dr. NK Aurora, head of the expert panel.

“Children sometimes become a vehicle for spreading the virus. However, if a safe, virus-free environment is created, it is possible to reduce the spread of infection,” said Dr. Aurora.

Regarding the deadline for reopening schools, Dr Aurora said, “Schools should be reopened in phases for the next four to six months from now and we should not be worried about the normal immunization of children.”

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandabia said states were being given more than two crore Covid-1 vaccine doses this month and all school teachers had been asked to be vaccinated on a priority basis before Teachers’ Day on September 5.

In the interview, the expert further said that reopening of primary schools should be given priority, adding that state governments should decide on SOPs to re-open classes in offline mode.
