Israeli fighter jets bomb Gaza, 126 killed, 950 injured

New Delhi: Israeli fighter jets targeted targets in central Gaza overnight. The military said on Saturday that after a day of deadly violence, the West Bank was shaken and there was unprecedented unrest within Israel.

Despite intensifying diplomatic efforts to reduce five days of fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants in Gaza, the Israeli Air Force attacked several places in the Gaza Strip overnight. The total Palestinian deaths from the attacks on Gaza have risen to 126, including 31 children. So far 950 people have been injured in the same attack.

Israel, which is trying to stop the outbreak of internal Jewish-Arab violence. The Palestinian territories have been facing conflicts in its recent history. The bombing of Gaza began on Monday in response to Hamas and other Palestinian armed groups firing rockets from Jerusalem.

More than 2,000 rockets have been fired into the Jewish state since Monday, killing nine people, including a child and a soldier, while injuring more than 560 people.

Izralal responded by targeting about 800 targets, including a large-scale attack on the Hamas tunnel network under civilian areas. The bombing destroyed the towers and houses, forcing Gaza families to take refuge in schools and mosques.

Early Saturday, the Israeli military said it attacked Hamas’s “Operation Office” near the city of Gaza, which the military described as an “underground launch site”. Warnings of airstrikes in southern Israel continued early Saturday.
