With the express purpose of affecting a substantive improvement of the medical infrastructure throughout the territory of Baja California Sur, in favor of more than 180 thousand beneficiaries, the general director of the Institute, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, allowed the investment of 27 million pesos for that goal, budget resources that have already been used, as stated by Jesús Ignacio Inzunza Tamayo, subdelegate of the administration of the state representation.
Who in turn pointed out that as a result of the hydrometeorological phenomena that occurred in the entity, various vulnerabilities in the buildings owned by the Institute became apparent, some of which began more than thirty years of construction, so began waterproofing action of more than 16 thousand square meters; repair and installation of the floor in an area of ​​about 5 thousand square meters and installation of 128 new air conditioners, distributed to the La Paz Family Medicine Clinic and the Santa RosalÃa Hospital Clinic, better.
Likewise, the federal official pointed out that, within this important conservation program for medical facilities, the application of painting and roofing work in an area of ​​19,416 square meters is considered.
On the other hand, Inzunza Tamayo commented that the management tasks carried out directly by the head of the Institute through the BCS and the local characteristics of the representation, “allow the intensification of management actions to the central areas, which has a positive effect on obtaining new resources, in addition to the annual authorized budget.
