Air new zealand For the seventh time since 2013, has been awarded as “Best Airline in the World in 2023” For its in-flight innovations, such as the affordable Skynest bed, its operational safety, environmental stewardship and the motivation of its employees.
The New Zealand airline beat Qatar Airways (winner in 2021, 2022) to the second spot, Etihad Airways to third, Korean Airlines to fourth and Singapore Airlines to fifth.
AirlineRatings.com’s awards combine major safety and government audits with 12 key criteria, including: fleet age, passenger reviews, profitability, investment ratio, product offering and employee relations.

Air New Zealand also won Best Economy Class, while Qatar Airways won Best Business Class and Best Catering for the fourth consecutive year.
Singapore Airlines won Best First Class and Virgin Australia/Virgin Atlantic won Best Cabin Crew.
Emirates won the award for Best In-Flight Entertainment and Best Premium Economy Class, while Qantas won the award for Best Lounge.
For its part, Air Baltic won the Best Regional Airline award.

The best low-cost airlines were: Southwest (US), FlyDubai (Middle East), AirAsia (Asia), Jetstar (Australia/Pacific) and Ryanair (Europe).
Vietjet received two awards: Best Low Cost Airline and Best Low Cost Airline Onboard Hospitality, recognizing the incredible value of its onboard offerings.
