It is no secret that Xiaomi will launch an electric car next year, in 2024. In fact, the brand itself has confirmed this information on several occasions, and this is one of the main reasons why the company’s shares have grown well in the last few months.
Despite this, so far we haven’t seen official images of the car beyond a few shots of test cars, but that just changed today. And that’s it. Thanks to the certification report made by the China market regulation office, we finally know what its final design will be, as well as some of the first official characteristics that we told you about in this post.
This is the new Xiaomi SU7, the first electric car launched by Xiaomi
As you can see in the images that we have attached to this post, the new Xiaomi SU7 has an amazing design wherever we look at it. This one has a light gray color throughout with some glossy black details that emphasize its sporty intent, though, as expected, we also have other color finishes available.
In fact, thanks to this report, we see that the car has many optional accessories available for the buyer to choose from. Among them, we can find different finishes for the interior, with white or orange seats, carbon fiber mirror caps for up to four different types of wheels, and even a panoramic sunroof that occupies the entire side of the car.
In fact, in these images, we can see that there will be a “Founders Edition” version that will include some of these exclusive elements that we just told you about before. Besides, there are also talks of both a Xiaomi SU7 and a Xiaomi SU7 Maxtwo versions, whose main difference lies in the greater battery autonomy of the Max model as well as greater engine power.
But this information does not stop here, because some of the details of the car have also been revealed. In this case, we have some steps to 4.99 meters long, 1.96 meters wide, and 1.4 meters high, tipping the scales at 1,980 kilograms, more than worthy figures considering that it will be equipped with an electric motor of 220 or 275 kW power depending on the version we choose.
In short, we already have a lot of relevant information about this compact sedan, and there are fewer secrets left to know about it. It is clear that Xiaomi will directly fight against the popular Tesla Model 3, but until this car goes to market, we don’t know what level it is and, above all, if he can fight head-to-head with one of the best-selling cars at the moment.
