JAMBI – The Jambi Provincial Health Office together with the Jambi Province TP PKK held a cross-sector meeting to implement the Jambi Province National Immunization Month (BIAN).
The meeting was held offline at the Jambi Governor’s Office House.
Jambi Province’s Measles Rubella achievement as of September 16, 2022 is 73.3 percent of the 3rd national order for BIAN stage 1 but is far from the target set of 85 percent.
The chairman of the Jambi Province PKK TP, Hesti Haris, said that the achievement of measles rubella immunization was not a matter of numbers, but related to the rights of Jambi children to protection and the responsibility was a shared responsibility.
“On September 26, God willing, we will carry out measles-rubella immunization simultaneously throughout Jambi and we will hold a video conference meeting to greet the progress of immunization implementation in each district/city,” he said.
Hesti also added that within this week, the puskesmas immunization team could be formed 2 or 3 teams to carry out sweeping at several points to be able to provide extra services at the end of the program, which ended on September 30.
“Head of the Health Office to direct the puskesmas to focus the immunization team this week on the movement of immunization, measles, rubella, pursuing sweeping in Posyandu, TK, PAUD, SD / MI and SMP / MTS first grade,” concluded Hesti
The head of the Jambi Provincial Health Office, Dr Fery Kusnadi, said that a collective movement was needed from the Health Service, sub-district heads, Ministry of Religion and the City District Education Office to accelerate rubella measles immunization by the end of this month.
“I’m sure Jambi City, Merangin Regency can take advantage of this remaining time to leverage the Measles Rubella immunization coverage,” said Fery.
Fery also added that there was a high appreciation for health workers in health centers and regencies throughout the Jambi province in the midst of limited funds and accumulated workloads, but they were able to carry out measles rubella immunization at BIAN’s momentum well.
