Prominent move to Montecito: Numerous well-known names have already settled in the Californian star place of residence. In addition to the renegade royals Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (41), there are also talk show legend Oprah Winfrey (68), singer Ariana Grande (29), actress Gwyneth Paltrow (49), actor Rob Lowe (58) and TV woman Ellen DeGeneres (64) at home in the posh suburb of Los Angeles. Jennifer Aniston (53) is also a new resident of Montecito.
This is due to her purchase of Oprah Winfrey’s farmhouse. The “Friends” star shelled out $14.8 million (the equivalent of around CHF 14 million) for the property. It has beautiful sea and mountain views, several terraces, a well maintained garden and of course a long and secured driveway. The property, which is surrounded by oak trees, not only offers the new resident plenty of privacy, but also enough space for 15 cars. Built in 1998, the Mediterranean property itself offers 400 square meters of space to linger and has four bedrooms.
Oprah makes a profit from real estate
Oprah Winfrey is making big bucks with the sale of the home: In 2021, she bought the property with a much larger reversal for $10.5 million. Just a year later, she divided up the 4,000-square-foot property and sold the two smaller houses to her personal trainer Bob Greene (63) for $2.3 million. Aniston has now acquired the main home from Winfrey, and she also owns a $20.97 million mansion in Bel Air.
The neighborhood in Montecito, California, seems to be attracting stars: Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s property is near Aniston. The renegade royals bought the $14.7 million property in 2020. Among other things, the nature-inspired home includes nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a library, a gym, saunas, a home theater, an elevator and even a separate guest house.
Jennifer Aniston is always busy
Aniston fits perfectly into this celebrity neighborhood. The actress rose to fame for her role as Rachel Greene on the sitcom Friends and has since starred in a variety of films. According to “Cosmopolitan”, the Emmy winner has equity of $320 million. She is currently working on the third season of The Morning Show with Reese Witherspoon. She can also be seen in “Murder Mystery Two” and “Hail Mary” in the future.
