The Giants immediately began requesting interviews with potential GM candidates following the firing of Dave Gettleman on Monday.

Joe Sean – Assistant General Manager, Buffalo Bills
Sean is spending his 20th season in the NFL and his fifth season with the Bills. He worked at the Miami Dolphins almost ten years ago, the last three years as HR Director, after seven years with Bills General Manager Brandon Bean in Carolina (2001-2007). Sean was interviewed last year for the Panthers’ CEO job. He played receiver for Division III Depauw (2001 release) and is from Elkhart, Indiana.
Ryan Poles – Assistant Director of Player Human Resources, Kansas City Chiefs
Poles is spending his 13th season with the NFL / Chiefs and his fourth in his current position, overseeing every aspect of the college search process. The Canandaigua, New York native was also interviewed last year as general manager for the Panthers, and played for five seasons on offense at Boston College (2003-07) defending Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan.
Ryan Cowden – Vice President of Human Resources Tennessee Titans
Cowden is spending his 22nd season in the NFL, sixth with the Titans and fourth in his current role. He oversees the entire scouting department, both college and professional. He spent 16 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, including three scouting with Dave Gettleman, before heading to Tennessee in 2016. Last year, he interviewed for the position of CEO of Washington.
Monty Ossenfort – Director of Human Resources Tennessee Titans
Ossenfort is in his 20th season in the NFL and his second with the Titans. Longtime with the New England Patriots (2003–2019), including eight seasons as a colleague of Joe Judge (2012–19). Over the past two years, he has been interviewed for GM jobs in Cleveland (2020) and Carolina (2021). He played quarterback at the University of Minnesota-Morris (2000 graduation).
Kevin Abrams – Assistant General Manager, Giants
Abrams is in his 23rd season with the Giants, 20th as assistant general manager and fourth as vice president of football operations. He briefly served as interim CEO in 2017 following Jerry Reese’s firing and interviewed for the permanent position that Gettleman took over. He is known for his work with salary ceilings and player contracts, but also contributes to the staff. Abrams is a native of Toronto, Canada with degrees from the University of Western Ontario and Ohio University.
