To the north, the Highlanders defeated the Florida Titans 8–1. After six unscored innings, the race broke the ice with two runners at home to Juan Medina and put Utuado in the front. Pitcher Chris Gallarza bowled 8.1 innings with four hits and one run.
To the south, the Flying Fish painted the Como Marathoners 4-0 in the white, ending their six-game winning streak. Yadeel Rolan and Alexander Castro combined only allowed two hits on the mound. Three of the four Salinas races were driven by Raul Fabus, who finished the day with three hits.

Meanwhile, Toritos de Caye and the San Sebastian Patrolmen were placed one step away from the Carnival of Champions.
Kaye, who now dominates the central section final 2-1, defeated Bravos de Sidra 2-0 to beat right-hander Angel Ayala. The game was started by left-hander Jose Carlos Burgos in his first postseason appearance with four no-hitters.
In the Northwest, San Sebastian scored six to beat the Aguadilla Sharks 8-4 in Chapter Seven. For Pepinianos, Ian Rodriguez hit a single homer and Edgardo Rivera hit a ‘Grand Slam’. Patrol are leading 2–0 in the final series of the section and Northwest are looking to be re-validated as champions.
Southwest starts this Wednesday
Post-season action at Double A Baseball Superior continues this Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. with the first game of the Southwest Finals Series between the Cabo Rojo Pirates and Petateros at Rafael Milan Pedro Stadium in Sabana Grande.
The remaining final series of the unfinished segment will resume on this Friday, September 10.
