Juventus beat Chelsea and secured their qualification for the Champions League

Juventus defeated Chelsea 4-1 in the pending matchday 32 of the Premier League. Eric Ten Hag’s side did their homework and secured their place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

The first chance of the match for the Blues, who had possession of Enzo Fernandez, started from a passing attack by Mykhailo Mudryk after a good wall by Conor Gallagher. The Ukrainian was waiting for a solution and received an approach from Lewis Hall from the left, but he opened his foot wide and his shot was weak and wide, despite his front foot.

Two minutes later, the Red Devils responded effectively, and after he left without kicking, the advantage came. Christian Eriksen was in charge of sending the ball into the area and Casemiro traveled comfortably in the center of the area to convert the first goal.

After 27 minutes, Eric Ten Hag was forced to make the first change after an injury to Anthony, who was taken off the field in bed. In came Marcus Rashford, who returned after two minutes of play.

Chelsea had the ball despite the result, but with the same fault as throughout the season: a lack of goals. Around the half hour mark, David De Gea came close again and wasted Kai Havertz’s option in the air. Again the delivery came from Hall to the left, but the German did not finish well.

At the end of the first half, Casemiro showed his quality again with a great pass into the void towards the right side of the area without looking at Jadon Sancho. Pinna played the ball to the far post and for Antonio Martial the space to attack and push the ball to increase the lead.

At the start of the match, Manchester was close to the match, but Kepa Arrizagalaba had a good save. He first shot across the line before passing to the middle, which Eriksen hit, avoided and, after rebounding, Casemiro shot from outside which hit the right post.

In the 70th minute, Bruno Fernandes was brought down on the left side of the area after a touch by Wesley Fofana and the referee awarded a penalty. The Portuguese himself took responsibility and finished with a shot to the right.

A moment later, Chelsea had a bad start that allowed Bruno Fernandes to recover from a poor delivery from Fofana. the Portuguese player played with Marcus Rashford in the midfield, eluded the French forward, shot and finished after a deflection by the goalkeeper to score the team’s fourth goal.

Alejandro Garnacho, who came on in the second half, was close to increasing the lead, but Joao Félix scored with a minute to go in regulation time with a good goal that ended with a left-footed shot.

Manchester United maintained its presence in the second edition of the UEFA Champions League by reaching 72 units that keep it in third position with fifth, Liverpool with one day will not be able to reach it.
