Kadarius Toni, Paris Campbell Injured in NFL Wideouts

Kadarius Toni didn’t make it through the first drive-through for the New York Giants on a tough day for wide receivers.

Paris Campbell injured her leg in the first half of Indianapolis’ 31-3 win over Houston on Sunday. Ty Hilton didn’t finish the game after making his season debut with the Colts, but he said his quad injury was not serious.

Odell Beckham Jr. sustained a shoulder injury that forced the Cleveland Browns star into the locker room in the first half but returned in the third quarter.

Tony took three catches from 36 yards before a rookie first-round pick aggravated an ankle injury. CJ Board was kicked off the field late in the half with a forward injury, further reducing New York’s receiving group. The Giants were driven out by the Rams 38-11.

Houston safety Terrence Brooks will spend the night in Indianapolis with an injured lung. Brooks went through the first half after defeating Carson Wentz on a 51-yard TD pass to Campbell. Texans coach David Cooley already ruled Brooks out of next week’s game.

Chiefs tight end Jody Fortsson was locked in with a torn left Achilles tendon in the third quarter of Kansas City’s 31-13 win in Washington. Teammate Anthony Hitchens injured his right elbow on a hit in the second period, which was marked for unnecessary roughness. The linebacker is scheduled to have an MRI on Monday.
