Kanye West dedicates Sunday service to Astroworld victims

Kanye West dedicated his latest Sunday service to the victims of the Astroworld disaster.

The “Jesus Walks” star’s Christian gathering returned on November 7, was live-streamed across platforms including YouTube, and paid tribute to the eight people killed and hundreds injured in a stampede during Travis Scott’s set at his concert. Houston, Texas, Friday (05.11.21).

Before the gospel choir performed live, a message read: “Sunday Service Dedication to the Loved Ones of Astroworld”.

And in the description, a note read: “Let’s return to a peaceful state of mind with this service dedicated to Travis Scott’s life lost in Astroworld.”

Travis is “absolutely devastated” by the tragedy.

Travis — who has a three-year-old daughter named Stormi with Kylie Jenner — was on stage when the crowd grew, and he later expressed his support for the families on social media.

In a statement posted to his Twitter account, the 30-year-old hip-hop star said: “I am completely devastated by what happened last night. My prayers end here.

What happened at the Astroworld festival affected the families and all of them.

“My full support to Houston PD as they continue to see the tragic loss of life.

“I am committed to working closely with the Houston community to heal and support families in need.

Thanks to Houston PD, the Fire Department and NRG Park for their immediate response and support.

“Love you all. (sic)”

Afterwards, Travis vowed to “help” the families of those killed in the celebration.

He said on Instagram, “Everyone keep your prayers. I mean,

I’m honestly just devastated and I could never have imagined this happening. I’m going to do my best to keep you guys updated and keep you guys informed of what’s going on. Love you all.”
